Pre-School Project History 2000-20006

The Preschool Project began long, long ago in the heart of the heavenly Father who desired for His Cambodian kids to get to know Him well and be given an opportunity to fully develop in every area of their lives. So He put this vision in the heart of Pieter Heres and Cheryl Griffiths. Cheryl came to Cambodia in 2000, formed a partnership with a local church (through Pieter’s help), and started the preschool work in 2001. Cheryl left the country two years later with a promise from God that He would resurrect the project in due time. He faithfully fulfilled His promise and brought 3 ladies from 3 different countries to Kampuchea. They re started the Preschool Ministry in 2003.

In 2004 (through the Father’s enabling, provision, and hand of guidance) the preschool team partnered with another local church and started the New Life Center II Preschool (NLC II Preschool) in Phnom Penh Thmei, a province just outside the capital city. The team provided leadership for the school and gave consistent, on-the-job training and mentoring for 3 Khmer teachers that were hand-picked by church leaders. They also conducted various preschool teacher training seminars in Phnom Penh until 2006. All these activities were done in conjunction with the mission of the project.
