Angkor Wat Nestled between rice paddies and stretched along the Siem Reap River, the small provincial capital of Siem Reap Town serves as the gateway to the millennium-old temple ruins of the Khmer Empire. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Angkor Archaeological Park encompasses dozens of temple ruins including Bayon, Banteay Srey and the legendary Angkor Wat. Over 1 milion people come to visit these temple ruins each year, making Siem Reap a very strategic center for ministry.

Our Vision

English-Job Skills Trainings have been going-on since we had our soft opening of the ministry in January. YWAM outreach teams from all over the world continue to come in partnership with us in the training ministry. Aside from the regular English classes that Khmer students avail everyday, teams come offering their valuable skills and offer lessons on Basic use of computer, Electric Repair, Basic Accounting, Card-making and even simple seminars like basic hygiene.

UofN Siem Reap, despite limited manpower at the moment continues to press on to provide quality English Language-Job Skills Trainings to the Khmer. On April 2, 2007, we moved the staff and team’s house to a much bigger house/location where we envisioned incorporating both the English-Job Skills Training ministry along with the staff and outreach teams housing. We’ve seen great potential of more Khmer students to come and avail of the trainings that we, YWAM UofN Siem Reap has to offer. For now, we still keep the old training center place of which we regularly hold all the trainings until our house rental contract ends in October 2007. We on the other hand are in preparation for possibly June or July 2007 opening of this second New Center where we’ll hold two training locations simultaneously.

To offer more avenues of the English-Job Skills classes in this Second New Center, we are looking for partners to help us in this vision. We are aiming to build “cottage-like” classrooms outside the house where we’ll hold the classes in the huge empty lot. We are trusting God for US $3000 for the classrooms to be built.

How can you participate in furthering God’s Kingdom in Siem Reap?

1. Pray for the right long term committed staff to teach in the classes that we’re offering.

2. We need outreach teams to come help us and offer any SKILLS that you have to assist Cambodians in looking for much better jobs.

3. Come experience mission exposure by joining us in short term base. If you have any special training to offer in line with Job Skills or in the field of enhancing teaching skills, please come!

4. Pray for more Khmer students to come and study at the center and that their hearts will be ready to hear the Gospel.

5. You can help expand God’s work in Siemreap through participating in your giving of our US$3000 fund raising drive in order to build “cottage-like” classrooms in the New Second Training Center.

6. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will reign in this darkened ancient city of Cambodia and that many will come and receive His glorious salvation.

Thank You For Your Prayers
